Court Ordered Community Service
NCHS reserves the right to refuse a court-ordered community service volunteer for any reason.
To be considered, applicants must:
Complete a Volunteer Application
Be 18 years or older
Provide court documents explaining convictions, including name and number of probation officer or court appointed contact person
Indicate number of community service hours required
Indicate availability
Be able to follow directions under staff supervision
Be able to perform a variety of activities, including physical labor
Sign the Volunteer Waiver Agreement
Individuals convicted of a felony are not eligible to perform community service at NCHS, including:
Animal- related offenses of any nature
Sexual offenses of any nature
Child or adult abuse offenses
Theft/ burglary/ robbery
Violent offenses (assault, battery}
Any charge related to trafficking or distribution of drugs
Forgery
Fraud
