“Kenzie’s the best dog ever.”
Linda, Mike & NCHS:
I Thought you’d like to see how Kenzie (formerly TJ) is doing. We finally got some sun, so I could take pictures without a flash. Kenzie really does not like the flash!
We’ve settled into a routine of two to four walks a day, depending who’s home at what time. Megan does a short early morning business walk. I take her out on weekday mornings for about an hour. We both loved hiking at Stone Mountain on Wednesday, but even our wet walk last Friday was really good. After school, Kenzie especially has fun when Megan takes her out to meet three other friends with their dogs for a group walk. Jim takes her out for night time walks and Ian takes her on occasional runs.
Although Kenzie is full of energy in the day, she is very mellow at night, and just relaxes with us in the family room. She sleeps in Megan’s room at night, spending part of the time on the floor, and part of the time on the bed.
We have friends with a fenced yard that are looking forward to having her over to play with their dog Shadow. And we are all looking forward to our April campout with several other families and dogs.
Kenzie is a friendly, easy going dog that everyone loves. Megan says “Kenzie’s the best dog ever.”
All for now!

Awww… Lucky Boy!
Gairy (Miles) Update
I’m sorry we haven’t sent pictures of Gairy until now, it just a busy time of year but he is doing great! He’s getting big so, I think he’ll be a big boy over the next year. He loves our older cat Purrcilla however, she is not so loving but getting better. Her patience is being tested all the time. What is funny is he likes her food and she likes his food.
I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
And Thank you for Gairy!!!!

Enjoying a Little Catnip…
Sandy,
He’s fitting in great. I met the transport in Morgantown and they were really nice people. I gave him a bath and he wasn’t really happy about it but didn’t claw me. It’s such a shame that cats as nice as this guy get put to sleep all the time. You guys do a great job down there. Thank you so much for saving him for me. He really is a big mush. Here he is laying on my bed with some of the catnip that I grow. He thinks it’s great! We both think you’re great for helping him get out alive!!!!

One Content Kitty!
Gail,
I am so glad that we choose to take home Ash, he has been such a perfect addition to our family and everyone who comes over thinks that he is the sweetest cat they have ever seen. In fact he is laying in my lap right now. We have learned that he likes watching hockey (Picture attached) and as you told me he always has to be with us and everyone that comes in the door at every moment of the day. So thank you for helping raise such a sweet cat and i don’t think that I could have found a sweeter kitten or more perfect one to be apart of our family.
I hope that you enjoy seeing the pictures and the update!

Now this is a dog’s life!!
Lori,
Here is a photo of Annie. Maybe there is room on your website for her picture as a rescued dog. The Fur Ball was a lot of fun and we enjoyed meeting some of your colleagues. We hope you & your family are fine.
There is not a squirrel or goose that dares to come into our yard since Annie started patrolling it.

As Happy As They Get!
We just loved our Rover (that’s him on the far left) and now the Steed Family does too! Take a look at our boy Rover with his new family – they don’t get any happier than this!
Super Happy Tails – From Afar!
Seamus was once a terrified dog that needed a chance. Thanks to a wonderful rescuer who loves German Shepherds, this once pitiful boy got the chance he needed! She writes of him, “Seamus was the PANICKED one and would not walk out of animal control. He crawled. His video was of him screaming. Well here he is with his family. I fostered him for a while and then adopted him to a family who are glassblowers and work out of the garage at their house and travel everywhere in an RV with their daughter and other dog, going to crafts festivals.” He sure looks happy now! For those of you who support us in our transport efforts, thank you!! It’s support like this that HELPS SAVE LIVES!!
A (HAPPY) Dog’s Life!
This former foster has found the perfect fur-ever home. McKenzie went to live with the Peterson’s and her fur-bro Cosmo a couple of years ago. She sure looks content doesn’t she?
PAWS-itive PURRR-fection!
We’re glad to hear from two of our favorite former fosters – these two made “bro-mance” a buzzword. They’re new mom writes, “Mortimer and Mack are doing just great in their new home. They have made friends with their sisters, Miss Kitty and Patsy (our yellow lab), and we’re all one big happy family. Dr. Andrews put Soft Claws on them and trimmed their nails, which I greatly appreciated. Please thank Cathy and her daughter for being such great foster parents.”
Happy? I Think So!!
Lucy in her new home with her dad Len. This pair looks quite content don’t you think? We couldn’t be happier for Lucy with her dachshund big sister “Prissy” and her mom, Len and Nancy. Thanks so much for giving Lucy the happy ending she deserves!
Double Happy Tails!
We always love to hear from our former fosters and today we got a double surprise when Jingles and Newman came to see us. They are both happy and healthy and their new dad is just as proud as he can be of his two furkids. Easy to see why…they are beautiful and sweet as can be!
Happy Happy!
Keep those happy tails waggin! Skippy has found a great forever home where he will be a great companion! His new grandad says Skippy looks just like a dog he had when he was a boy and his new human sister says he is just the perfect addition to the family…we couldn’t agree more!
PURR-FECT Ending!
We’re tickled pink about how things turned out for our sweet Lily! Her new mom is over the moon for her and tell us, “Dear LouAnn and Becca – I’m so sorry I’ve not written before about how wonderful our Lily is! She’s the love of our lives and so much fun to have around. Since she is deaf, we’ve made her a collar with lots of bells on it so we can find her when she hides! :}”
Another Tail Wagger!
For those of you who didn’t know, there is a new addition to the Parrish household. He’s a beautiful (remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder) 2 year old pound puppy who I was lucky enough to adopt. He has a lot to live up to (remember Leroy?) but I think he is up to the challenge. He’s very smart – has learned two new tricks already. Can’t wait for all of you to meet him, but until you can see him in person – here are a few photos. Thanks to the Newnan/Coweta Humane Society - especially Lou Ann for helping me to find the perfect puppy!

Surf, Sand, and a New Best Friend!
Check out our former foster pup Tag (Tag-a-Long)! Thanks William for giving Tag the happy home he deserves! Sand, Surf and a new best friend…now there is a happy ending a Labrador pup can live with!
Boxer Love
There’s nothing a boxer loves more than another boxer to play with until they are WORN OUT! We couldn’t be happier to see that our very own Laila Ali has found that special boxer pal in Demian. Thanks to Andy and Trace for giving these two beautiful boxer babies a great furever home!
Another Happy Tail!
I wanted to give you all a happy story! We adopted ‘Cameron,’ we call him ‘Finn’ now though, about a year ago. He is the love of our lives. I am so glad we found him and that you all were at PetSmart that faithful day that we walked in. He is so bad and so good for us!
