Adoption Information

Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our foster pets. It is NCHS’s mission to place our animals in safe, secure and loving homes that will offer them a LIFETIME commitment of love and proper care.

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees include: Veterinary exam, spay/neuter, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines, flea/tick treatment, Aids/Leukemia testing (felines) and Heartworm test (canine).
Dogs/Puppies: $175
Cats/Kittens: $50-$125
Kitten season is here! To encourage keeping litter mates and kittens together, the adoption fee will be waived for one if two cats/kittens are adopted together. 2 for 1 – both fully vetted and spayed/neutered!

*Adoption fees may occasionally differ from the above prices on a case by case basis depending on among other things, breed and/or medical expenses for that particular pet. Also, older pets and pets that have been in our foster care system for a while will have significantly lower adoption fees.

Please consider the benefits of adopting an adult animal. Most of our adult animals are already house trained, and many of them have already learned basic obedience skills.

Do you have room in your heart and home to provide temporary care for a rescued shelter pet? For every pet that is fostered, another life can be saved. NCHS covers all veterinary expenses plus food and supplies as needed.
